We sure ended 2020 with festivities galore! What a Hanukkah we had! From our Shining Lights Zoom ceremony to the eight nights of the Park & Spark Hanukkah Pop Up, TBS certainly celebrated the holiday bringing warmth and light to our community and our homes. We appreciate our 2020 Shining Light sponsors for their gifts to the religious school. Thank you to Judy & Mike Bass, Jane & Richard Bialosky, Evelyn & Ron Blank, Melinda & Darryl Jacobs, Carol & Paul Kanarek, Alyse & Eddie Katz, the Match/Morse family, Myra Wolovick, TBS Sisterhood and TBS Board of Trustees. Thank you also to Rabbi Birnholz and Cantor Kheel for popping up all around Indian River County to represent us and share our light with community. It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate!
The families of our religious school enjoyed a day of Hanukkah activities together on our beautiful outdoor campus. We had Hanukkiah relay races, dreidel spin art painting, candle designing and more. To Kathy Nystrom, Jill Birnholz, Emily Jacobs and Remi Heyer, who all volunteered, thank you so much. A special shout out to Rob and Prachi Lustgarten for the delicious take home latkes!
Religious school will continue to meet via Zoom beginning January 10th and Hebrew school returns to its regular schedule on January 6th, following winter break.
SCHOOL FAMILIES should look forward to a special Tu B’Shevat program on January 31st with more details coming soon by email. We will celebrate the “Birthday of the Trees” and discuss ways in which we can all be guardians of our natural environment.
Happy 2021 to all!
