November 2014 Simply Sisterhood

November, 2014

President’s Message:

Once again, our Break the Fast was a colossal success with thanks to Carol Resnick and a team of exceptional volunteers who make it all happen so seamlessly! Also Sisterhood and Temple Beth Shalom thank Einstein Bagels located at 1226 US1 in Vero Beach for their generous donation of All the bagels and cream cheese for our Break Fast. Please be sure to stop in and help support our generous donor Einstein Bagels! Flowers and plants provided by Jane Bialosky were beautiful and they enhanced the social hall during our Break Fast. Many thanks to all of the talented women who contributed kugels, salads, vegetables, egg salad, desserts and so much more!

At the end of October, a group of Sisterhood ladies enjoyed a morning at the Vero Beach Museum of Art with our own Sue Docktor as docent. Thank you Sue for your guidance through the exhibits. This was followed by a lovely lunch at the Riverside Café.

This month our Program Chairperson, Cathy Berkowitz, had two exciting events planned. There was an opportunity to shop at Chico’s and White House/Black Market on Sunday November 2 from 9 AM to 11 AM with 10% of the proceeds donated back to Sisterhood. There was brisk shopping by more than twenty participants! The ladies also enjoyed coffee, bagels and black & white cookies. On Tuesday, November 11, there was a Qi-Gong program offered by Jane Kreizman who is an Instructor in Training.

December 10 is the date to save for our Hanukah and Hollywood program. An unwrapped children’s gift is the ticket for admission to see the movie Making Trouble, an exploration of three generations of Jewish comedic women! Additional information may be found in Simply Sisterhood or contact Cathy Berkowitz at 919 830-3844 or emailcathy.berkowitz@yahoo.com . Please be sure to RSVP to Cathy.

Sisterhood Shabbat will be January 9th and the theme is ‘Jewish Pioneer Women’. Contact Lynda Rosemark atlbrose18@att.net or joannemaury@gmail.com if you would like to participate in the service. We hope to see you there!

Sisterhood members play mah jongg every Thursday in the social hall at 1PM. We generally have at least three tables at play! Join us. Bobbi Feiertag, our Membership chairperson, may be contacted at bobbifeier@gmail.com or 772 332-2645 to renew, join or if you have questions about membership. Please be sure to update any contact information that has changed.

If you have any suggestions, questions or concerns please feel free to direct them to me .
