UPCOMING SISTERHOOD EVENTS:
- Mah Jongg Tournament: Thursday, March 12th
- Women’s Seder: Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30 P.M.
The phenomenal success of February’s Sisterhood Rummage Sale fundraiser is thanks to the consistent and year round dedication of our chairpersons Ralph and Lynn Oko in conjunction with innumerable volunteers who persevere even when the tasks before them seem daunting! Ralph Oko is quick to credit those that assist him like Harold Levy and Ron Blank as well as All of the volunteers who assemble, organize and price the mountain of donated items. Sisterhood thanks you most sincerely as this fundraiser would not be possible without each participant including everyone who donates items that then find their way to new homes. “No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it”
(H.E. Luccock) The same holds true for the Jewelry Sale under the direction of Natalie Feldman with dedicated assistance from Evelyn Blank and another large contingency of volunteers. Natalie and Evelyn repair, clean and evaluate each item that is generously donated. The end result is an impressive display of lovely jewelry that draws hordes of anxious buyers. Sales for both events have surpassed prior years! Congratulations!!
All of the participants in the Mah Jongg Tournament on March 12 have a fun filled day in store for them. Jayne Drucker, our chairperson along with Anita Weiss as co-chair, organized the event and all of the volunteers needed for a perfect day. Sisterhood thanks you and values your involvement in our successful programming and fundraising.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Sisterhood treasurer, Susan Coren, for all of the additional data entry & bookkeeping that she incurs from Mah Jongg card sales, the Rummage Sale and the Mah Jongg Tournament. You are Greatly appreciated.
On March 24 we will hold our 6th Annual Women’s Passover Seder. This is a pot luck event so be sure to RSVP by March 17th to Cindy Goldman @ firstname.lastname@example.org or 772 569-3340, or Judith Levy @ email@example.com . It is imperative to have an accurate count so that the room may be set up appropriately and to insure we have adequate food.
The Congregational Seder will be held at Pointe West on Saturday April 4th at 5PM. Flyers are in the Scroll, Simply Sisterhood and available in the bayit.
If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns please feel free to direct them to me.
