Here it is January 2015 and Sisterhood has an incredibly full calendar. If you are looking for activity, learning or social involvement, Sisterhood has a program or event to satisfy and please. On January 9th we will have Sisterhood Shabbat which will highlight Jewish pioneer women. Lynda Rosemark, Joanne Maury and committee have worked hard to make this a meaningful and enjoyable Shabbat for all. We look forward to welcoming all of our TBS community January 9th. The pace changes on Sunday January 18th when Shelley Weltman hosts a Russian Tea at her home. This event is open to Sisterhood members only and space is limited. Please check your Simply Sisterhood for additional information. Our next program welcomes speaker Cheryl Temkin on Sunday February 1st who will discuss Women of the Wall. Cheryl’s program ‘A Woman’s Voice’ is open to Temple Beth Shalom as well as the Treasure Coast Jewish Film Festival synagogues. Cathy Berkowitz may be contacted with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919 830-3844.
Over the next four months, our calendar is filled with many reoccurring events such as the Rummage Sale in February, the Mah Jongg Tournament and Women’s Seder which are both in March and the Community Seder in April. These events are open to the entire congregation and beyond! Each is ‘labor intensive’ and many require additional help. If you are interested in assisting in any way, let me know, and I will be sure to connect you with the chairperson of the event that you choose.
If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please feel free to direct them to me. I can also be reached by phone.
