December 2014 Simply Sisterhood

December, 2014

President’s Message:

Here it is December and we continue to enjoy the warmth of a sun that seems to smile on us continuously and a climate that allows us to enjoy the outdoors daily. Most of our snow birds have returned (Welcome Home) and I want to take the opportunity to remind everyone that we look forward to seeing you at our Sisterhood programs. On Wednesday, December 10 at noon we will have our Hanukah & Hollywood program. An unwrapped children’s gift for donation to Hibiscus House will be your ticket for admission to see the movie ‘Making Trouble’ which highlights three generations of comedic Jewish women. Refreshments will be served. Please be sure to RSVP to cathy.berkowitz@yahoo.com or call 919 830-3844. Our program chair Cathy Berkowitz may also be contacted with any questions. (This program has been cancelled due to insufficient response.)

Lynda Rosemark is the chairperson for this year’s Sisterhood Shabbat which will be January 9th and the theme will be Jewish Pioneer Women. Please contact joannemaury@gmail.com orlbrose18@att.net (Lynda Rosemark) if you are interested in participating in the service. We look forward to seeing all of our congregants on January 9th!

On January 18th, Sisterhood will have a Sisterhood members only Russian Tea. As this is in a member’s home, space is limited so an early RSVP is essential to secure your spot. Check Simply Sisterhood for additional information.

February 1 is the date to save for our ‘Women of the Wall’ speaker and Cathy Berkowitz is organizing this program which will be open to TBS and other congregations.

Preparation and planning for the Rummage Sale which has become a year round endeavor is in the very capable hands of Lynn and Ralph Oko and their dedicated team. Donations may be dropped off at the TBS office during office hours or you may call Ralph for pick up at 772 794-0003.

Please contact me with any ideas, inquiries or concerns at
