The phenomenal success of February’s Sisterhood Rummage Sale fundraiser is thanks to the consistent, and year round dedication of our chairpersons Ralph and Lynn Oko in conjunction with innumerable volunteers who persevere even when the tasks before them seem daunting! Ralph Oko is quick to credit those that assist him, like Harold Levy and Ron Blank, as well asall of the volunteers who assemble, organize and price the mountain of donated items. Sisterhood thanks you most sincerely, as this fundraiser would not be possible without each participant, including everyone who donates items that then find their way to new homes.  “No one can whistle a symphony.  It takes a whole orchestra to play it” (H.E. Luccock)  The same holds true for the Jewelry Sale under the direction of Natalie Feldman with dedicated assistance from Evelyn Blank and another large contingency of volunteers. Natalie and Evelyn repair, clean and evaluate each item that is generously donated.  The end result is an impressive display of lovely jewelry that draws hordes of anxious buyers. Sales for both events have surpassed prior years! Congratulations!!

The Mah Jongg Tournament in March was yet another successful Fundraiser, as well as an enjoyable day for the 72 participants. Jayne Drucker, our chairperson along with Anita Weiss as co-chair, organized the event and all of the volunteers needed for a perfect day. Sisterhood thanks you,

and values your involvement in our successful program-

  ming and fundraising.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Sisterhood treasurer, Susan Coren, for all of the additional data entry & bookkeeping that she incurs from Mah Jongg card sales, the Rummage Sale and the Mah Jongg Tournament. You are greatly appreciated.

Participants at Sisterhood’s 6th Annual Women’s Seder enjoyed our revised Haggadah, which Cantor Dannah Rubinstein reworked for us. Cindy Goldman and Judith Sharpe-Levy co-chairs for this event, organized a most enjoyable evening. Thank you all for generously donating your time and energy!!

The Congregational Seder will be held at Pointe West on Saturday April 4th at 5PM.  The event organizer and the chef at Pointe West have worked with our chairperson, Linda Culver and this is sure to be a sumptuous holiday meal.
