Dear Temple Beth Shalom Community,

A number of months ago, with heavy heart, I had to write to our congregation about the departure of Cantor Rubinstein. Now as the calendar turns to 2017, and I prepare to go to Arizona for her installation in her new position, the fortunes of our congregation have turned as well. On February 1 a new era begins for Temple Beth Shalom. We are excited to announce the hiring of Cantor Alisa Forman. Cantor Forman comes to us from Lakewood Park, NJ bringing her musical skill, Jewish wisdom, and the enthusiasm of her spirit. I join with our Board of Trustees and our Cantorial Search Committee to welcome her to our little Shul in the Woods, this center of Jewish Life in Vero Beach and Indian River County. May the work of her hand and the offerings of her heart endure helping us create and radiate Shalom: Wholeness, Harmony and Peace, into our congregation, our community and the world.

from Rabbi, the Board of Trustees, and the Cantor Search Committee
